It is now pretty clear that the Bajaj Pulsar 200 was a flawed product. Bajaj practically bit more than they could chew. The bike came with new innovative technologies but they failed big time for the customers.

One of my friends own one of the Pulsar 200 from the first batches. I have seen him struggle with his bike.

30% of the bike was practically replaced by the company during the warranty period. Another 10% was replaced by the company which was not covered under warranty. He has spent weeks if not months visiting their service centers just to get disappointed by the lack of support from the company.

Here is another individual who has suffered a similar fate with his Pulsar 200…

I purchased 200 by 25 dec 2008…not even 8000 km its run but …its lost all its pickup…no mileage… am in college…entering my 3rd yr..Had dreamed a lot about…the bike…but very soon my bike is gone worse…in spite of doing all services and…maintaining…speed levels…were as my friends 180..is really…got a good performance…am confused…

Bajaj has not stated much about why this model was discontinued. The common knowledge is that the new Pulsar 220 is priced so low that there was no space for the Pulsar 200 edition to survive.
